Pickling cleaner
Description & applications
Aqueous solution of phosphoric acid, fluorides and surface-active substances.
Intended use
cleaning/degreasing/derusting of stainless steel, with slight pickling effect, also suitable for polished surfaces

Surfaces on stainless steel and slight annealing colours on thin sheet

Advantages
• ideal solution where pickling is impossible
• no dangerous fumes arising during application
• during standard induction time, does not damage intact stainless steel surfaces
• improves surface quality without disadvantages of hydrofluoric/nitric pickling
• removes slight bulged ferrits
• surface is passivated

Application Instructions
General notes
Please respect safety data sheet and instructions for use. Reaction times and results depend on different factors. Practical tests with sample parts should be carried out to define the optimum parameters.
Preparation
Shake well before application or stir thoroughly with a plastic stick! For use in a bath or if required for spraying applications prepare a 3 to 10 % solution with water.
Application
Apply product evenly or immerse part into prepared bath.
Reaction time
At an optimum temperature of 22 to 25 °C between 5 to 30 minutes by standard, at mirror polished and brilliant surfaces induction time has to be supervised to avoid dulling.
Further Treatment
Thoroughly rinse treated parts with water until rinsing water is neutral and surfaces are acid-free. Please note: use water with a hardness of < 10° dH in order to minimise water stains and lime residues!
Additional notes
Do not use concentrate at high temperatures or under direct sunlight.
