MetalTec 6000

A trowelable, machinable grade composite repair compound, formulated with stainless steel maximum durability and performance. Protects surfaces exposed to temperature up to 400ºF(204ºC). As a corrosion resistant coating MetalTec 6000 offers excellent protection against a wide variety of chemicals – organic and inorganic acids, caustics, oils, solvents, and detergents. Although proper surface preparation is very important, MetalTec 6000 is very surface tolerant of oil imbedded surfaces.

MetalTec 6000 is non-shrinking and cures to use in about 4 hours, at which time it can be drilled, tapped or machined with conventional cutting tools. An excellent choice for rebuilding shafts, bearing housings, keyways, as well as, mis-machined parts that must be brought back to original dimensions.

MetalTec 6000 Produces exceptional physical properties – compressive, tensile and adhesive strength – and is excellent for making permanent repairs to leaking pipes, storage tanks, cracked engine blocks or bonding metals to non-metals, such as concrete to steel. Its thick consistency allows it to be troweled and molded to almost any shape or contour. It may be applied up to 1/4"(6.0mm) thick without sagging.
